When you unbox your Ledger device (Nano S Plus, Nano X, or Stax), you should find:

⬇️ Step 1: Download Ledger Live
Ledger Live is the official app used to manage your crypto securely. Download it only from the official website:
- Download Ledger Live
- Available for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android
Once installed, launch the app and click “Get Started”.
⚙️ Step 2: Set Up Your Device
Plug your Ledger into your computer or mobile device and follow the on-screen instructions. You will:
- 📌 Set a secure PIN code (4 to 8 digits)
- 🧠 Write down your 24-word recovery phrase
- ✅ Confirm your recovery phrase on the device
Never store your recovery phrase digitally or share it with anyone. Ledger will never ask for it.
🔗 Step 3: Connect to Ledger Live
After initialization, your device will need to pass a genuine check to verify it's authentic.
- Connect the device
- Open Ledger Live and follow prompts
- Install apps like Bitcoin or Ethereum as needed

🔁 Recovering or Resetting Your Wallet
If your device is lost, stolen, or reset, you can recover your funds using your 24-word phrase:
- Buy a new Ledger device
- Choose “Restore from recovery phrase” on setup
- Enter your 24 words in order
Anyone with this phrase can access your funds. Keep it private, offline, and secure.
